By accessing or using our Services, including logging in via Google Single Sign-On (SSO) or browsing our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance & Scope of Agreement
These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, API consumers, and entities who access or use our Services. If you are accessing the Services on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. Account Access & Google SSO
When you create an account or sign in using Google Single Sign-On (SSO) or other third-party authentication mechanisms, you authorize Burbio to access and use basic account information (such as your name and email address) as permitted by your Google permissions and our Privacy Policy. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
3. Proprietary Rights & Data Licensing Restrictions
All datasets, market intelligence, school board trackers, municipal event aggregations, software code, branding, and API structures provided through the Services are the exclusive intellectual property of Burbio Inc. and its licensors.
Subject to these Terms, Burbio grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and view the data solely for your internal business operations. You explicitly agree that you shall not:
- Sublicense, sell, rent, lease, export, or redistribute Burbio data to any third party.
- Use automated crawlers, spiders, or scraping tools to extract data outside of official Burbio user interfaces or authorized APIs.
- Use any Burbio data or content to train, fine-tune, evaluate, or benchmark artificial intelligence or machine learning models without express written consent from Burbio Inc.
- Decompile, reverse engineer, or attempt to derive the source code or underlying architecture of our platform or APIs.
4. API Usage & System Fair Use
Access to Burbio APIs is subject to rate limits, query quotas, and fair use policies. Burbio reserves the right to throttle, limit, or temporarily suspend API keys or IP addresses that exceed query thresholds or disrupt system performance for other users.

You agree not to use the Services to:
- Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international laws or regulations.
- Attempt to breach security measures or gain unauthorized access to accounts, servers, or networks.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or availability of our infrastructure.
6. Disclaimers & "As-Is" Data Provision
Burbio aggregates data from public school district portals, board meetings, community feeds, and government sources. While we use commercially reasonable efforts to process and structure this information, the Services and all data are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. Burbio Inc. disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, timeliness, or uninterrupted availability.
7. Limitation of Liability & Financial Cap
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Burbio Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of your use or inability to use the Services. In no event shall Burbio Inc.’s total aggregate liability exceed the greater of (a) $100 USD or (b) the total amount paid by you to Burbio Inc. in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
8. Third-Party Authentication & Services
Our Services rely on Google OAuth/SSO and third-party hosting partners. Burbio Inc. does not control Google’s operations and is not responsible for any login interruptions, account suspensions, or service outages originating from Google or other third-party providers.
9. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Burbio Inc., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, losses, damages, or costs (including reasonable legal fees) resulting from your violation of these Terms, misuse of the Services, or violation of third-party rights.
10. Order of Precedence (Signed Enterprise Contracts)
In the event of any direct conflict or inconsistency between these public online Terms of Service and a separate, fully executed Master Services Agreement (MSA), Order Form, or enterprise data license agreement signed by an authorized representative of Burbio Inc., the terms of such signed agreement shall control and take precedence.
