1. Burbio's Calendar Intelligence dataset links school calendar events to local zip codes, enabling precise demand forecasting and year-over-year comparisons. The chart below shows how spring vacation dates are shifting from 2026 to 2027. In 2026, the largest shares of districts were off during the weeks of March 29 and April 5. In 2027, the schedule moves earlier: nearly half are off during the weeks of March 22 and March 29, while the share off during the week of April 5 falls from 20% to 9%. The shift reflects Easter moving from April 5 in 2026 to March 28 in 2027:

- Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High has ordered a November 2026 election seeking up to $321 million in bonds for district-wide repairs, upgrades, and modernization.
- Newark Unified is weighing approximately $700 million in facility needs against its $205 million Measure O bond program. The district is reprioritizing spending, evaluating underutilized sites, and pursuing state funding.
- Center Joint Unified has placed a $197 million bond measure on the November 2026 ballot to address aging facilities and enrollment growth. The district is also planning a new elementary school.
- Ukiah Unified has adopted a 2026–2036 Facilities Master Plan that identifies about $128 million in capital needs. The plan will guide improvements and support eligibility for state matching funds.
- Burlingame Elementary has approved $89 million as the amount for a potential bond measure addressing aging roofs, plumbing, electrical systems, and additional work at Lincoln Elementary.
- Jefferson Elementary expects a Joint Community Facilities Agreement to generate $20 million in bonds for a second Tracy Hills elementary school. The funding would raise $51 million needed to begin the $82 million project.

3. Burbio continues to expand its district-level K-12 Curriculum Tracker, featuring curriculum usage and adoptions for districts nationwide. The Curriculum Tracker notes curriculum type (launching with ELA, Math, Social Studies and Science) and evaluation stage, from early consideration through pilots to adoption. From the map above, below are five examples of math intervention:
- DeSoto ISD, TX identified seventh-grade math as the weakest point in its math pipeline, while West Middle School cited Tier 1 gaps in algebraic reasoning, problem-solving, and mathematical discourse. The campus action plan includes small-group intervention, after-school tutorials, Saturday academies, individualized learning plans, and frequent progress monitoring.
- Mansfield ISD, TX plans to conduct a math and reading root-cause analysis and use the findings to refine curriculum implementation, instructional practices, and assessment alignment. The district is also reviewing standards alignment across campuses and strengthening expectations for Tier 1 instruction.
- South San Antonio ISD, TX is responding to third-grade math performance that remains slightly below its 2026 target. The district plans to identify priority standards for reteaching, strengthen targeted small-group intervention, refine assessments, and use frequent progress monitoring to adjust instruction.
- Judson ISD, TX is evaluating the results of its middle-school double-block model, which provided students with additional math and English instruction during 2025–26. The district is reviewing academic growth, attendance, program costs, and reduced access to electives as it determines whether to continue the model.
- Mission CISD, TX evaluated four proposals for a new Pre-K–5 math screening and intervention program. The district recommended a contract to provide assessment, progress monitoring, personalized learning, teacher tools, and implementation support.
